Computer Systems Engineer

Job Description:

Design, develop, integrate and test software for the control of flight simulation systems. This position requires a strong computer systems background with a focus on Linux systems level programming, including process scheduling, device drivers and networking. Previous experience in the integration of aircraft communication systems (ARINC, MS-1553) and serial protocols is a plus. The ability to travel to installation sites to install and troubleshoot systems is a requirement. Minimum of bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience, and three years experience in related aircraft or flight simulator systems.

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum BS in Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Proficiency with C/C and shell scripting in a Linux based environment
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages
  • Candidate must be able to work in a team environment, or independently, as necessary, and be a self-starter who will attack designs and resolve problems effectively and efficiently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Security clearance.
General Qualifications:

  • Strong technical understanding within at least one area of specialization expected.

  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Available to perform travel from time to time.
  • Candidate must be able to work in small confined spaces (simulator cockpits).
