CH-53E Flight Training Device (FTD)

User: Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 49, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey

 ASI was awarded a contract to build the CH-53E FTD, Device 2F239 for the U.S. Marine Corps on April 1, of 2014.

This program required the design, development, delivery and test on one CH-53E FTD to MAG 49 at Ft. Dix, New Jersey.  The device includes a collimated display system with real view Chin and Side Windows, a cockpit vibration cueing system,  Debrief Station and integration of the USMC Tactical Environment Network (TEn).   Additionally, ASI is providing a new Air-to-Air Refueling simulation including a new hose and drogue model and improved flight dynamics simulation.
