Project Engineer

Job Description:

  • Proposal technical responsibility from conceptual design to final delivery.
  • Overall program technical design responsibility.
  • Definition, management, coordination, and integration of all program efforts.
  • Ensure technical design meets fidelity of specification requirements and customer needs.
  • Works with the Program Manager (PM) to ensure program budget and schedule compliance.
  • Conducts design reviews.
  • Primary technical interface with customer.
  • Control of program hardware and software release processes.
  • Provides engineering support during manufacturing phase of a program.
  • Overall hardware-software integration responsibility.
  • Program’s primary representative during in-plant and on-site customer acceptance.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor degree in technical discipline or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years flight simulator project experience or 8 years of experience with development of complex hardware/software systems.
  • Proven management skills on $5-$10M projects.
  • Ability to travel as required to support programs.
  • Proficient with MS Office and with project management tools such as MS Project.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Security clearance.
  • Candidate must be able to work in small confined spaces (simulator cockpits).

  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Required to communicate in English.
  • Required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard.
  • Required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Available to perform travel from time to time.
