Systems Administrator

System Administration Tasks:

  • Administration of Active Directory, IIS, SQL Server, DHCP, DNS
  • Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with vendors senior IT staff on network optimization
  • Deploy and provision server VMs
  • Continue expanding IT expertise by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.

Management Tasks:

  • Manages and supervises Desktop Support Technicians and vendor activities
  • Oversee and participate in resolution of issues logged in issue tracking system (JIRA)
  • Manage the implementation and delivery of projects meeting established timelines, budgets and expectations of quality.
Knowledge / Skills Requirements/Preferences
  • Experience maintaining Active Directory and DNS
  • Experience with Office 365 & Hosted Exchange
  • Experience streamlining deployment tasks utilizing GPOs and scripting
  • Experience with Hyper-V clustered deployments
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and CISCO switches
  • Knowledge of QoS related to VoIP performance
  • Knowledge of NIST Security policies and standards
Job Requirements:
  • 2 year degree with a technical major or equivalent experience. (Preferred)
  • Technical certification or equivalent experience (Required)
  • MCSA: Windows Server 2008/2012.  (Preferred)
  • HS Degree or equivalent. (Required)
  • MUST be a U.S. Citizen AND able to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance
  • ASI is a Drug Free Workplace so candidate must be able to pass entry and random Drug Testing

  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Must be able to perform occasional overtime and alternate shifts.
  • Available to travel approximately four to eight times a year
