Tampa, Florida (18 November, 2015) – Aero Simulation Inc (ASI) is pleased to announce its latest major contract award, the T-45C Operational Flight Trainer (OFT), Device 2F138F Technical Refresh Program. Awarded by the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, the $29M program directly supports the Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA) for Intermediate and Advanced Strike training. The six (6) T-45C OFTs are located at Meridian, MS and have a significant number of critical systems that have become obsolete due to advances in computer hardware and software technology.

The program requires the replacement of the current Image Generator and databases, replacement of the display system projectors and refurbishment of the existing dome shell structures, Host, Instructor Station, Aural Cue, Digital Control Loader computational systems, and replacement of the current Cockpit and its associated Motion Seat system, as well as correction of numerous outstanding deficiencies.

“ASI is extremely pleased with the confidence the U.S. Navy places in our team’s ability to fully meet T-45C OFT requirements” said Dr. Michael McCarthy, ASI’s President. “Our proposed solution offered Best Value for the Navy and clearly provided the foundation for this important award. We’re pleased to continue our work developing great training solutions in partnership with the Navy and look forward to our successful upgrades for these important CNATRA training devices.”
