Full Flight Simulators
At the top of the FTD food-chain are ASI’s Full Flight Simulators (FFS). The ASI line of FFSs provides reliable, affordable, meaningful training in a high-fidelity learning environment at the lowest life-cycle cost on the market.
Full Flight Simulator (FFS) is a term used by national (Civil) Aviation Authorities (NAA) for a highly technical level of flight simulator wherein training time can often be logged as actual flight time. Such authorities include the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the U.S. and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), or the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) in Australia and parts of Asia.
Operating in some of the planet’s harshest weather, the U.S. Coast Guard’s aircrews for the HC-144 needed a FFS that went beyond the normal boundaries of Industry. ASI delivered an FAA Level D equivalent FFS with a 6-DOF Electric Motion System, the World’s Largest Collimated Visual Display System on Motion…290°x60°, Image Generator, Visual/Sensor Databases, Visual Database Generation System (VDBGS), Computer Aided Debrief Station (CADS) and Software Support Environment (SSE). No other FFS has been registered with this size collimated display on motion before or since. This family of solutions and systems is still under the watchful care of ASI professionals via the IMOMS contract with the United States Coast Guard Aircrew Training Center in Mobile, AL (which we staff and support full-time). *watch a video of its construction here.
Overseas Demand Signal Too
Whether fixed-wing or rotary training is needed, ASI is world famous for what we can accomplish, and for good reason. ASI was selected by DoDaam Systems Ltd (a South Korean company) to provide engineering services, hardware systems, software systems, documentation, aircraft systems interface analysis, systems engineering, and management support for the UH-60P Full Flight Simulator (FFS) to Level D standards for the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA).
When you are ready to transform logged simulator Xs into meaningful learning, the first choice is clear: an ASI FFS. Contact us and we’ll help with the rest of the decisions after that. Your pilots and aircrews, passengers and cargo, budget, timeline, and mission success will thank you later.
The general features of an ASI FFS will include:
- What the customer needs and asks for
- What the end-user needs to train and learn to be safe and effective
- Software correlated with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to closely replicate perameters and reactions whatever aircraft (and model series) is required
- Highly evolved and user-friendly Instructor Operator Station(s) (IOS)
- Streamlined spares identification, ordering, and all levels of maintenance are designed to lessen workload and the fiscal burden of operations in the short- and long-run
- ASI’s reputation for getting it right, and keeping it better
