BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or equivalent experience


Primary Requirements:  

  • Secret and security administration tasks on Red Hat/CentOS Linux, Windows Server, and Windows desktop operating systems.
  • Experience with installation and administration of Windows Server roles including Active Directory and DNS.
  • Experience with TCP/IP networking including the configuration of Cisco switches and/or routers, and practical familiarity with common networking protocols such as ICMP, SSH, and Telnet.
  • Use of industry standards, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions.
  • Must currently hold CompTIA Security + CE certification, or equivalent DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (or higher).
  • Ability to deploy and provision Virtual Machines (VM’s) using VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Experience streamlining deployment tasks utilizing GPO’s and scripting.
  • Follow procedures for configuration management (CM) of security-relevant software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Ability to lead/conduct Cybersecurity related education and training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • MUST be a U.S. citizen AND able to maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

Preferable Experience:

  • First-hand experience applying Risk Management Framework DoD 8510.01, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-171 criteria to implement, evaluate, and document system security configurations.
  • Experience designing Local Area Networks (LANs) of low to moderate complexity including hosts with Windows, Linux, and Cisco operating systems, and the related protocols for interconnectivity.
  • Creating RMF packages and associated work products.
  • Hands-on experience with common cybersecurity toolsets including HBSS, McAfee ePO, ACAS/Nessus, and SCAP Compliance Checker.
  • Implementing and deploying various server applications, e.g. enterprise back-up, centralized update services, HBSS/ACAS in a multi-platform environment, security auditing tools, log aggregation, etc.
  • Understanding of how to maximize network performance; troubleshoot network problems and outages; schedule upgrades; collaborate with third-party vendors or senior IT architects on network optimization.
  • Work history of performing upkeep, monitoring, analysis, and response to Information System, network, and security events.
  • Knowledge of enterprise routing technologies, tunneling, and encryption/encapsulation technologies, or Multicast routing is not required but would be considered a plus.
