Job Description:   

The manufacturing technician is responsible for the fabrication and testing of electrical and mechanical components. This individual should also have the technical experience in the use of electronic tools and the capability of reading system schematics, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics. Preferably this individual should have a background in flight simulation which involves systems in control loading, motion systems, flight controls.  This individual should be able to acquire a secret clearance so that they may travel for installations.  Personal hand tools required to perform simple assembly.


This position requires either an electrical or mechanical assembly background. An electrical Assembler should be able to fabricate discreet cables, route wires in a professional manner. Wire a panel or chassis by reading a wire list and or schematics. Soldering is a minimal requirement. Use of hand tools, especially wire crimpers are essential. All electrical assemblies shall meet the requirements of IPC-620.

The mechanical technician will need the following skills. Assemble/install electro-mechanical assemblies/sub-assemblies, cables, systems, etc., per engineering drawings. The position requires the ability to align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates. Workmanship needs to be professional and clean.

All technicians must be able to travel for installations and modifications for the aircraft simulators.


  • Must have or be able to pass/obtain training tests/certificates for skill sets associated with the position, such as Soldering skills, etc.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required.


  • MUST be a U.S. Citizen AND able to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, or independently, as necessary, and be a self-starter.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Should have the ability to work within the strict given deadlines.

Physical Demands

  • Required to talk and hear.
  • Required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard.
  • Required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Available to perform travel from time to time.

Work Environment:

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud in an open bay manufacturing area.
