CH-53E Flight Training Device (FTD)

Customer: U.S. Marine Corps, Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD)

User: Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 49, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey.

 ASI was awarded a contract to build the CH-53E FTD the United States Marine Corps to design, development, deliver, and test a CH-53E FTD to MAG 49 at Ft. Dix, New Jersey.  

The device included a collimated display system with real view Chin and Side Windows, a cockpit vibration cueing system,  Debrief Station, and integration of the USMC Tactical Environment Network (TEn).  

Additionally, ASI is providing a new Air-to-Air Refueling simulation including a new hose and drogue model and improved flight dynamics simulation.
