EP-3E RFTDs

Aero Simulation Inc. (ASI) delivered two EP-3E Flight Training Devices for the U.S. Navy under a subcontract to CACI.  

Developed as part of CACI’s EP-3E Aries II Mission Avionics System Trainer (MAST), ASI’s Front End Reconfigurable Flight Training Devices (RFTD) provides comprehensive training for the Pilot, Copilot, and Flight Engineer.  

The devices utilize P-3C Operational Flight Trainer (OFT) software tailored to an EP-3E configuration and include a 160° field of view visual system and fully loaded primary flight controls (that is, same as a Level D).

These fully featured trainers provide the means to train normal and emergency procedures in both standalone and couple training modes. Both RFTDs were delivered to NAS Whidbey Island, Washington.
