Job Description:  

  The Proposal Manager is responsible for all administrative aspects of responding to Requests for Proposals (RFP), Fair Opportunity Proposal Request (FOPR), and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) – ensuring security and integrity of all proposal documentation, coordinating internal flow and review of all proposal inputs, and directing a production of final master proposals.

  The Proposal Manager focuses on the following:

  • Supporting the Capture Manager with the development of a proposal that is
    • Compliant
    • Responsive
    • Of the highest quality

  Tasks include:

  • Support the development of the Proposal Strategy, themes, and discriminators
  • Tracking correspondence with the customer
  • Developing PowerPoint presentations for
    • Kickoff Meeting
    • Color Team Reviews
  • Develops and implements the Proposal Management Plan including Schedule
  • Producing a quality proposal
  • Submission of the proposal to the customer

Job Requirements:

  • Proposal management expertise required
  • BA/BS degree required, focus in Business Administration is desired
  • Experience with Government contracting is highly desired
  • Must be very proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), ability to deal with the team at all levels.
  • Very good organization and time management skills to support multiple proposals in parallel.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, or independently, as necessary, and be a self-starter who can resolve problems effectively and efficiently.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Able to manage and coach writers
  • Research skills
  • Needs to be able to meet demanding schedules.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, and be able to obtain a Department of Defense Security clearance.

  • Required to communicate in English.
  • Required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel, and to manipulate keys on a keyboard.
