full Flight simulators
ASI's top-tier offerings in the realm of flight training equipment are our Full Flight Simulators (FFS). Within ASI's FFS lineup, users can expect a dependable, cost-effective, and immersive training experience in a high-fidelity environment, all while benefiting from the most economical life-cycle costs available in the market.
The term "Full Flight Simulator" (FFS) is a designation recognized by National (Civil) Aviation Authorities (NAA), such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the United States, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) in Australia and certain parts of Asia. FFSs at this technical level often allow training hours to be logged as actual flight time, meeting stringent regulatory requirements.
In a particularly challenging operating environment, the U.S. Coast Guard's HC-144 aircrews required an FFS that exceeded industry norms. ASI rose to the occasion, delivering an FAA Level D equivalent FFS equipped with a 6-DOF Electric Motion System and boasting the world's largest collimated visual display system on motion, spanning 290°x60°. This comprehensive system included an Image Generator, Visual/Sensor Databases, Visual Database Generation System (VDBGS), Computer Aided Debrief Station (CADS), and Software Support Environment (SSE). It's worth noting that no other FFS had been registered with a collimated display of this size on motion before or since. ASI continues to provide dedicated support for this family of solutions and systems under the IMOMS contract with the United States Coast Guard Aircrew Training Center in Mobile, AL, where our professionals are on-site full-time to ensure its optimal performance. Overseas Demand Signal Too
ASI has gained global recognition for its exceptional capabilities in both fixed-wing and rotary-wing training. This reputation is well-deserved. ASI was handpicked by DoDaam Systems Ltd, a South Korean company, to provide a comprehensive range of services, including engineering, hardware and software systems, documentation, analysis of aircraft systems interfaces, systems engineering, and management support. All of this was done to meet the rigorous Level D standards for the UH-60P Full Flight Simulator (FFS) for the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA).
